Acton’s eco-park offers campers eight hectares of Machair habitat biodiversity with unparalleled panoramic Atlantic seascape views. The coastal eco-park, with its soft, white, sandy ‘private beach’, is in walking distance to the stunning tidal island of Omey. Located just ten minutes from Clifden town and two minutes from the scenic village of Claddaghduff.

This ecological site is low in density and  uncommercialised. Glamping & wild camping-style plots are eco-peaceful & privately spaced apart between ‘marram grass’ covered dunes, making your camping experience unique and more enjoyable!

At Actons, the night sky is spectacular due to limited light pollution on the grounds, and with their eco-friendly fire pits, you can stargaze alongside a cosy campfire with marshmellow cocktails on their beach or adjacent to your plot, all adding to the flair of excitement!

The site is almost surrounded by the sea & has the perfect onsite location for all kinds of sea-borne activities, including safe swimming, excellent sea angling, scuba diving, windsurfing, kitesurfing, boating & the famous Streamstown Bay ‘drift dive’. An excellent experience is the ‘drift snorkel’ from the sandy beach along the estuary of Streamstown Bay. There are beautiful coastal beach walks directly from the park, including walks to and around the tidal island of Omey.

They guarantee that your plot never becomes wet underfoot and will remain dry & clean even in extremely wet weather conditions. It is also rare for ‘midget’ insects to appear on site due to its coastal location.

This eco-site boasts an excellent private supply of crystal clear, organic potable mineral water. Extracted from its sand-bearing soil. The mineral water, in accordance with strict regulations, is delivered sterilised to its points of use throughout the campsite.
