MacDara’s Island Pilgrimage is the saint’s feast day and is celebrated when ‘locals’ make their way to the island from Carna to celebrate mass. Saint MacDara is credited with building the island’s church – its stone roof was restored in 1977. Location: Oiléan Mhic Dara.
