It is true to say that there is no shortage of public houses in Clifden, but it is also true to say that Vaughan’s Pub is unique amongst them.
This old pub has such an abundance of character, with hundreds of pieces of memorabelia. It would be easy to be so taken-in by it that you could stay looking at them for days. One thing is also sure at Vaughan’s………”the Guinness is great”.
The Bistro at Vaughan’s offers diners a mixture of traditional Irish cuisine and contemporary favourites. We are well known for our excellent Traditional Irish Stew and our unique Guinness Stout Pudding which are made from secret family recipes.
The dining experience is made all the more enjoyable in our traditionally designed dining room. It has an old-style stove and thatched roof, reminiscent of old Ireland. Live music on selected nights.
The Accommodation at Vaughan’s is of the highest quality and is approved by the national tourist board of Ireland, Fáilte Ireland. It is purpose-built bed and breakfast, opened in 1996, and offers the highest standard of comfort. The accommodation is in a traditional style and all rooms are en suite with television. Each room is decorated in a unique, tasteful style and named after the Great Irish Writers such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, W.B Yeats and J.M. Synge.
The accommodation at Vaughan’s offers you the best of both worlds as it is situated in the town of Clifden, close to all local attractions but you also have the tranquility you need for a relaxing break. Each morning, breakfast is served in the dining room with a range of options available for residents.
